& the winners were...

Old Hamtonwellians with 83%, followed by Toby's Tigers with 74%.  Captain Birdseye & His Bitches came 3rd on 73%, after winning a tie break question with Village Idiots.

We then did a 7 questions play off to determine the winner of the rollover jakcpot.  The questions were:

What is the record for 100m run in high heels?
What year and month were Leonardo Dicaprio born in?
How much did an Apple Mac cost when first on sale in 1984?
What is the length of the M8?
How many pages does the standard paperback edition of One Day have?
How long is James Blunt's single You're Beautiful?
What is the average beer consumption per head in the Czech Republic?

After all of these Rupert from Old Hamtonwellians was declared the winner - a good double for them!

Thanks to everyone who played over the last seven and a half years!

Next Quiz - Sunday 2nd February 2014 - Dan & Steve's Final Quiz

Hi everyone,

After much discussion and debate, Steve and I have decided to retire from the quiz at The Landor.
It's been great fun, but it's just taking too much time, and so we've decided (in consultation with the pub) that the February quiz will be our last.

Please come along and help us leave on a high, by having one final great quiz!

There will be lots of prizes - and the rollover *must* be won - and it would be great to see as many of you as possible

x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

Kick off at 8pm

£3 (inc £1 towards a rollover prize) per person to enter, max 5 to a team

The Landor is at 70 Landor Rd  London, SW9 9PH, where it meets Willington Road, two minutes walk from Clapham North tube station (Northern Line)

Please join our new Facebook page here.  Facebook deleted the old group, but they've now re-instated it, but with none of the original members.  If you play the quiz, please join, so that we can invite you to events.

New Facebook Group

The quiz is a no smartphone zone. It just spoils it for everyone. If you see someone on another team using their iPhone (other smartphones are available) then take a picture of them with your phone. If we all work together we can beat this!
